Reinforced Concrete Beam: Continuous Longitudinal GPR Survey with Markers at Two Columns
Description
Reinforced concrete beam, 35 cm thick, surveyed continuously over more than 9 metres with a GSSI FLEX NX antenna. Two user markers were placed during acquisition, at the supporting columns.
The markers act as anchors. They locate the supports on the section and allow the picking to be tied to the real geometry of the structure — clear span between columns, critical shear zones, position of construction joints.
The measured 35 cm thickness allows the propagation velocity to be calibrated against a known dimension.
