Reinforced concrete pier shaft of a road viaduct (Ø 2 m) with step-frequency GPR
Description
Survey of the shaft of a reinforced concrete pier on a road viaduct, with a circular cross-section 2 m in diameter, recorded with the GSSI FLEX NX, a step-frequency radar. Profiles were collected directly on the curved face of the pier. The radargrams show the reinforcement layout and allow the concrete cover to be estimated. The dataset can be used to practise rebar picking on a real bridge structure, to observe how a convex surface affects antenna coupling, or to plan coring or anchoring away from the steel. Raw files in GSSI native format (.DZT).
